Name: Adele Blaise-Sohnius
Adele started running cross country and track in high school and continued to do so at the University of Victoria until an accident and subsequent injuries knocked her out as a freshman. Adele has dabbled in rowing, duathlon and road cycling, and after graduation ended up in Germany focusing on her career and starting a family. After almost a decade away from running, she started running again after her first child to get fit, and quickly progressed to winning local races. Some encouragement from former Vikes teammate Kris led her to try mountain running in 2015, and she has found her strength lies in uphill courses, her best result yet is a 4th place finish at the World Cup race Montee Grand Ballon in 2016.
